PET CBD: FACTS, BENEFITS, SAFETY, & PET CBD PRODUCTS

What is Pet CBD & Why is it a National Month?

Pet CBD Month was founded with the intention of spreading awareness of CBD for pets, as well to celebrate the increased availability and use of pet CBD products. Since hemp-derived products became legalized in 2018, people and pets alike have been reaping the benefits of CBD. This is certainly something to celebrate and educate people on!

What are the best Pet CBD Products & Practices?

Pet CBD products are abundant and various. There are pet CBD tinctures and oils, pet CBD treats, pet CBD shampoos and balms… you name it! The industry has it all. The difficult part is deciding which product is best for your fur-friend. Here are some basic steps to figuring out what pet CBD product is best:

–Talk to your pet’s vet about it first. Getting advice and information from a professional, in this case a veterinarian, is key.

–Ensure the pet CBD product is THC-free and third-party lab tested to prove it. If the brand your buying is reputable, this shouldn’t be an issue, however it is important to check. Animals are much more sensitive to the effects of THC than humans, making it pivotal for you to double check that the pet CBD product is tested and certified THC-free.

–Check to make sure that all the ingredients are pet-friendly. Only the best ingredients should be used to make something for man’s best friend. A healthy outside starts from the inside, so make sure your pet is getting the pure ingredients they deserve, Like Seabedee’s Bark Bites— CBD Dog Treats. Our Bark Bites are made with quality ingredients like sweet potato, chickpea flour, coconut oil, cinnamon, turmeric, and our organic CBD to bring your pup the up-and-up on tasty dog treats!

–When it comes to dosing, start small and consistently for your pet. Factors like weight, age, amount of activity and health issues will determine how much CBD your pet needs. This is why there’s no “one-size-fits-all” when dosing CBD—for pets and for people! It’s best to start giving your pet a small amount daily, monitoring the reaction and adjusting the dose as needed over time.

Personal Testimony From Basset-Hound Mix, Gordy: (Age 10 in Human Years)

Woof-woof! Hi, my name is Gordy and I am a sweet, silly old fella that loves belly rubs and napping outside in the shade. My dad adopted me when I was three (human years) old and I’ve been attached to him ever since. I love him so much that when he leaves, I sometimes get really bad separation anxiety, and will howl, whine, pace and pant until dad gets back home. This is bad for my health and has been an issue for my dad, who much to my dismay, can’t always have me by his side. Recently dad started giving me these delicious little treats called Bark Bites, and I go crazy for them! They are so tasty that sometimes I drool when dad shakes the bag. The best part though, is that these treats help me wind down and stay calm, even when dad leaves! I feel a lot more relaxed and I don’t anxiously anticipate dad’s arrival after he goes out. Did I mention that these treats are drool-licious?! So woofing good, and so great for my doggy well being. Thank you Seabedee!Â
